Community Cruiser Registered Nurse

The Community Cruiser Registered Nurse focuses on providing assessments, screenings, healthy lifestyle support and education with a goal of improving healthy outcomes and facilitating access to services during Health and Wellness events across the region. The Registered Nurse accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures. The Novant Health Community Care Cruiser provides no-charge health services to low-income individuals, people without health insurance, and members of our community to achieve health equity.

Location: Charlotte, NC Community Based Events

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM

What We're Looking For

  • Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree Nursing degree, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Nursing degree, preferred.
  • Experience: One year relevant experience, required. One year experience in pediatric nursing care and knowledge of school immunization schedule, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements (required):
    • Education and training: continuing education related to work duties, maintain competency with up-to-date school vaccine administration.
    • Knowledge and use of state vaccine database North Carolina Immunization Registry (NCIR).
    • Knowledge of school vaccination schedule per North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS).
